The term, Rhinoplasty, usually means make the nose smaller. An alternate name for this procedure is called a Reduction Rhinoplasty.
Interestingly, the technique of Reduction Rhinoplasty is over 100 years old and is the most common technique used by plastic surgeons. What we know today is that using this older procedure usually results in noses where too much cartilage and bone is taken out at the time of surgery. This results in a nose that looks scooped, upturned, and has a pinched tip; very unnatural.
A new technique called, Reduction Structured Rhinoplasty, designed and innovated by Dr. Thomas Romo III, builds the nose to its best cosmetic shape using the body’s own cartilage.
This technique gives the most natural cosmetic and predictable result and does not sacrifice function for cosmesis. A customized rhinoplasty.
