Facial aging may not be avoidable, but it is an aspect of life that has become quite manageable. In fact, many people are correcting the signs of aging today without undergoing surgery or incurring much downtime, if any at all. We are proud to meet the needs of patients who are interested in a facial refresher without the aspects of surgery through the FaceTite procedure.
What Is FaceTite?
FaceTite is a non-surgical, energy-based procedure that provokes natural tissue rejuvenation. The FaceTite platform is based on radiofrequency energy, or RFAL™. The device is renowned for energy-assisted lipolysis, or targeted fat destruction, alongside progressive tissue tightening.
Benefits Of FaceTite
Patients appreciate several aspects of non-surgical facial rejuvenation such as FaceTite, including:
- No surgical risks
- No surgical scar
- Treatment involves local anesthesia
- Mild side effects may be limited to swelling and bruising
- Short recovery period
- Consistent, predictable results across the treatment area
- Long-lasting results
Who Is A Candidate For FaceTite?
FaceTite has one of the highest Worth It ratings on RealSelf, which has caught the attention of thousands of individuals seeking non-surgical ways to preserve their youthful appearance. Many people who would be a good candidate for a mini-facelift or who have achieved good rejuvenating results from injectable treatments are also well suited to FaceTite.
FaceTite VS Facelift
The objective of facial rejuvenation is to reinstate the most natural facial form. To achieve this, we observe where and how aging is taking place. In most cases, aging involves multiple layers. The skin is only one of them. Beyond the laxity that stems from collagen depletion, the structure of the face changes on a deeper level, right down to muscle and bone tissue.
A facelift is a powerful technique because it addresses much more than skin tone. During a facelift, the surgeon repositions deeper structures to a more youthful position. This manipulation results in a harmonious relationship between bone, muscle, fat, and skin. The effects of a traditional facelift are enhanced with fat injections or dermal filler injections to accentuate mid-face volume. When a facelift is conducted, though facial aging continues, appearance continues to look younger than it would otherwise.
FaceTite can also have a dramatic effect on facial structure. The radiofrequency energy that is inserted into the dermis provokes a strong response in which collagen production is significantly increased. The non-surgical treatment does not manipulate tissues as a facelift does; it encourages the body to naturally tighten superficial tissue. The result is smoother skin, a sharper jawline, and tighter skin on the neck. Results of a single treatment can last up to 5 years.
Is FaceTite A Surgical Procedure?
FaceTite is not surgery. Treatment is conducted in the office using a local anesthetic. This numbing medication is administered beneath the skin through tiny incisions made just in front of each ear. After numbing has occurred, radiofrequency is delivered via two probes. One of the probes is inserted just under the skin. A second probe sits parallel to the first; this one lying just above the skin. The position of the probes invites radiofrequency energy delivered via a small device to pass between them. The energy that flows between the inner and outer probes affects tissue from both directions, heating in a controlled manner. This heating of the inner and outer tissues causes immediate contraction of existing collagen, while an influx of new collagen rebuilds the foundation beneath the skin, refreshing the face for several years.
How Long Will The Results Of FaceTite Last?
Results from FaceTite treatment can last up to five years, according to studies. Patients can maintain the effects of their treatment by utilizing quality skincare products on a daily basis and by applying sunscreen every day
Can FaceTite Be Combined With Other Procedures?
FaceTite can achieve excellent results on its own but is often combined with additional treatment so maximize rejuvenating effects. Because FaceTite primarily tightens the lower face, this non-surgical procedure may be combined with procedures such as blepharoplasty, Botox, or dermal fillers aimed at lifting the eyebrows or otherwise correcting the signs of aging around the eyes. Also, FaceTite can be combined with Morpheus 8, a skin resurfacing treatment, this combination is called Embrace RF Treatment.
FaceTite Recovery Time
Minimally invasive skin-tightening with radiofrequency is followed by an expedited recovery period. Though swelling and bruising may occur, these effects are typically mild and short-lived. Most patients can return to work and socializing within a few days. After treatment, patients receive full post-operative care guidelines from our staff. We are also available to answer questions that may arise after FaceTite treatment.
Will I Have Scars After FaceTite?
FaceTite is performed using tiny nicks in the skin vs. the larger incisions required for a surgical facelift. Resulting scar tissue is expected to be virtually invisible.
